What are venous lakes?
Venous lakes are benign vascular lesions that typically appear as a dark blue or purple bump on the skin. They are most commonly found on the skin of the face, particularly on the lips, but it can also occur on the ears, neck, or other parts of the body.
Do venous lakes go away on their own?
Venous lakes do not typically go away on their own. They are caused by dilated blood vessels in the skin, and these blood vessels do not typically shrink or disappear without treatment.
