  • Is benign skin lesion removal covered by OHIP?
Please be advised that benign skin lesion removal is NOT covered by OHIP. Fees for removal of these types of lesions can range from $150.00 to $250.00 depending on the type of lesion to be removed. The first lesion costs a minimum of $150 and the price will vary for the remaining lesions based on number and size.
  • Is laser skin lesion removal painful?
We apply numbing cream before each treatment and use ice throughout to minimize pain. With the DermaBlate laser, patients feel some heat and find that the machine is somewhat loud, but there is very minimal pain if any. With the Yellow Laser, patients find the feeling similar to an elastic band snapping on the skin. At Dr. John O'Mahony's Benign Skin Lesion Clinic, we work hard to make our patients as comfortable as possible during each treatment.
  • How long does skin lesion removal take to heal?
There will be a 2 week period for any scarring to heal, and a 4 week period for full results.
